How I See

black and white film portrait of antique mirror with reflection of a girl inside an Abandoned house

I’ve always been drawn to real things — maybe even the mundane. Quiet places. Natural light. The details most people overlook. My roots in film taught me to slow down. To wait. To notice the shadows and the space between moments. I don’t over-direct or over-style. I watch. I adjust. I document what’s already there. The photographs that stay with me are the ones that ask more questions than they answer. The ones that feel vulnerable. Honest. A little imperfect. That’s a powerful image.

That’s how I see.

Maybe we relate

I’m naturally a homebody. I like quiet. I recharge by being alone.

I love films and dark chocolate.

I’m from Middlebury, Connecticut.

Halloween has always been my favorite. I usually keep the decorations up longer than I probably should.

I live with my husband and our two cats, who absolutely run the house.

I love rollercoasters. A day at Six Flags beats a dinner reservation.
